ICE-CMM Poland at Global Methane Forum in Geneva

On 18-21 March 2024, the Global Methane Forum 2024 took place in Geneva.

It is  premier global event that brought together global thought and industry leaders to promote achievements in reducing methane emissions and mobilise action to achieve ambitious reductions in methane emissions. The event was organised together with the 19th session of the Expert Group on Coal Mine Methane and a Just Transition of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.

The event was attended by representatives of ICE- CMM Poland: Chairman Artur Badylak (JSW S.A.), Piotr Kasza (INiG- PIB), Janusz Jureczka (PIG-PIB), Marek Borowski (AGH). During the session of the Expert Group on Coal Mine Methane and Just Transition, Prof. Piotr Kasza discussed the activities of ICE-CMM Poland in 2023 and presented plans for the current year. Meanwhile, during the GMF plenary session, Director Artur Badylak participated in a debate on the challenges facing the industry in reducing methane emissions.
